Description	Lidia Chervinskaya (1906–1988) was a poet of Russian Paris and one of the key figures of the so-called “unnoticed generation”. This volume brings together her three books published during her lifetime, Approaches (1934), Dawns (1937), and Twelve Months (1956), as well as previously unpublished poems from archival collections and rare prose works, including We, Boredom, Expectation, and At the Last Minute. Marked by the distinctive “Paris note”, with its restrained melancholy and confessional sincerity, Chervinskaya’s poetry preserves the tragic experience of emigration, love, and loneliness. The edition also includes an introductory essay and commentary by its editor, Konstantin Lvov, who reconstructs the poet’s dramatic biography in detail. In 1944, Chervinskaya was arrested in connection with the so-called “Bois de Boulogne waterfall case”, an episode in the history of the French Resistance involving the activities of a double agent working for the Gestapo. She spent more than a year in prison and was brought before a military tribunal in Paris, which ultimately acquitted her.
