Sergeev A. Dom u kladbishha. Hroniki relokacii

Author Sergeev A.
Title Dom u kladbishha. Hroniki relokacii
Description I wrote my first relocation post, "Ninety Minutes in the Closet," at the airport gate. Then I lived for eight months in the Antizone shelter in Georgia, for those who find it dangerous to remain in Russia. It's a house in Tbilisi near a cemetery, rented by shared donations. Among the shelter's residents, in addition to anti-war and civil activists, are many LGBT people. The shelter is home to vulnerable people whose incomes only cover a single bed. They huddle in small rooms, three or sometimes four at a time. The house, other than showers, has no private spaces—you live in full view, like on a reality show. People fight over unwashed dishes, argue about politics, fall in love and break up, yearn for their homeland, and fear for their future.
