The publication is accompanied by photographs by artist Kirill Savelyev. They depict the everyday, going beyond the rational and transposing it into an otherworldly world of the random and sometimes absurd. The heroes of many of his photographs are stray dogs who, like the animals in Kafka's story, exist in a world without people, and this pushes them to try to become its, the world's, chief interpreters, to probe that existential uncertainty that connects dogs and people. |
