| Description | Lev Oborin was born in 1987. He graduated from the Russian State University for the Humanities. He has been published as a poet, critic, literary scholar and translator from English and Polish in magazines such as Vozdukh, Novy Mir, Znamya, Volga and others. He edited the series "Culture of Everyday Life" for the publishing house "New Literary Review", is the editor of the web project "Polka", and is the compiler and one of the authors of the book "Polka: A History of Russian Poetry" (2025). Author of the poetry collections "Mauna Kea" (2010), "The Green Ridge" (2013), "A Tornado Behind the Forest" (2017), "Be the First to Like It" (2018), "Part of the Landscape" (2019), "Glaciers" (2023), and the collection of essays "Book of Reviews and Prefaces" (2024). Winner of the Andrei Bely Prize (2021) in the "Literary Criticism and Projects" nomination. Lives in Berkeley (USA). |
