| Description | Natalia Chernykh is a poet, essayist and prose writer. She was born in the closed town of Chelyabinsk-65, trained as a librarian, and studied in Lviv and Moscow. In the early 1990s, she made her debut in the samizdat anthology Absolute Life. Her work has appeared in the journals Novy Mir, Volga, Vozdukh and others. Since her encounter with unofficial literature, to which Chernykh has devoted numerous essays, her interest has been focused on experimental poetry. Private Screening is a complex poetic canvas that explores the fine boundary between the world of objects, unstable reality and the inner experiences of the lyrical heroine. The texts convey the atmosphere of everyday life in the 2010s, with its melancholy, sarcasm and fragile human relationships. The poems balance between coherent narrative and pointillism, a fragmentation of impressions in which every detail acquires independent value. Chernykh conducts a subtle game between the world of things and living emotions, placing emphasis on the hidden meanings behind ordinary objects. |
