The book culminates in a new version of “Antigone”, in which fragments of ancient Greek tragedy meet Hindu mythology, modern physics and Tantric imagery. Bychkov consistently dismantles conventional rules of plot and genre: characters, ideas and cultural codes collide to create a vision of the contemporary world that is simultaneously comic, disturbing and fundamentally unpredictable. |
